Sally’s View of the River

Peace & tranquility are two words which express “Sunny Rock” perfectly. The food was excellent & so was the company.

Approximately April 15th, 2005 the ministry of Natural Resources and the local Haliburton Highlands Fishery dropped about a thousand 6-8 inch Brown Trout into the Drag River South of the Scotts Dam. We see folks on the river daily playing the catch and release game. S

A quiet cloudy day. We are watching Mallards and Merganzer Ducks – and a Beaver in the distance. Sara S.

The Family of Beaver :For four years now we have been watching a family of beaver play on the Drag River just South of the Scott’s Dam. This year by May 1st only one beaver has been seen playing “belly up” chewing on some plant life. It appears that the beaver is in heaven as it does not have a worry in the world. Sally
