Magnum Ice Race Series in Minden (Last Weekend of the Season!)

Saturday and Sunday February 24-25 2007

The Canadian Automobile Sport Club for the Ontario Region presents Ice Racing every Saturday and Sunday, last races of the season is Feb 24 & 25. A winter fun family day finishes the race season off with great fun. Ice Racing started in Ontario more than forty years ago and it’s an inexpensive, fun part of CASC-OR for competitors and spectators alike. Originally all events were held on frozen lakes and rivers and some still are but in the late seventies the Central Ontario series moved to more permanent facilities at the fairgrounds in Minden. Here a track is laid out in a ‘kidney’ shape, then flooded repeatedly to build up ice between the snow banks that define the course.

Contact the Sunny Rock Bed & Breakfast for your accommodation needs while you come to participate or watch the races.
