Sally’s View of the River

What can I say?! We had a wonderful time here at Sunny Rock. Thanks to Sally, Jan & Ace! All breakfast was wonderful and extra tasty. We enjoyed swim on Friday. Thanks to Sally I am no longer afraid to swim. Sally has wonderful lessons. Besides the B & B we enjoyed the Highlands Cinemas, which any movie buff would love! We also enjoyed our breakfast at Wintergreen. We spent some time watching the local theatre – Last of the Great White Pine, a very good play about history in Minden. My fondest memory is watching Brad try and catch that big fish all weekend and still didn’t get it. I am sure it will await his return. It’s been an amazingly wonderful 1st anniversary!
I would like to say thank you again Sally & Jan for all your hospitality. It’s been a wonderful first for us at Sunny Rock and we look forward to returning again soon!

This is the perfect camp for grown-ups!! I am so grateful for this place and the warmth and friendship offered by Sally and Jan….and Ace. Sally has a wealth of knowledge of the local area and offers lots of suggestions for things to do and places to see. For me, the highlight is this place, Sunny Rock! Sitting on the deck watching the heron, the ducks, the rushing waters, and relaxing to the music of the falls and the beautiful soft breezes, is an experience that far exceeds any of the local attractions.
Minden is a great town…don’t drive by Kawartha Dairy…Great ice cream. I’m an artist, so the Rails End Gallery & the Ethel Curry Gallery in Haliburton are favourite stops for me.
I hope this is the first of many visits to Sunny Rock. Thank you so much for your kindness, Sally & Jan. People like you make all the difference.
