Haliburton Highlands Hiking: Sculpture Forest…a path to discovery.
The Haliburton Sculpture Forest ia a fascinating destination that is an intriguing walk, a artistic experience, and a great place for people to explore at their own pace. Located in Glebe Park, beside Haliburton’s Fleming College, the Forest is home to a diverse collectionof sculptures by Canadian and international artists.
The Sculpture Forest has many many sculptures. In the past year there are three new sculptures. Everytime you go to the forest there is alway something new to see.
The trails in the Sculpture Forest—for walking and bike riding in spring, summer and fall and skiing in the winter—provide changing perspectives of the forest and the sculptures in each of the seasons.
The Sculpture Forest experience, which is unstructured and unscripted, is ideal for folks looking for an interesting outing, for those who enjoy outdoor trails, and for people looking for a unique artistic experience. A Sculpture Forest map is available on the Haliburton Sculpture Forest website and at the entrance to the Sculpture Forest.
A free guided tour of the Sculpture Forest is offered at 10:00 am on Tuesday each week in July and August. Guided tours for groups are available by special request throughout the year.
