When we knew we were coming up to Haliburton again we had no hesitation in phoning Sally to book at Sunny Rock again. Thanks for everything, it has been as wonderful as we remembered from 2 years ago.

Frank & I went for a walk across the dam and went out and sat on the rocks, watched the little fish, waited patiently for Oscar [the osprey] to come out of the tree but alas he didn’t. He watched us & we watched him from below.
While sitting & chatting Frank noticed an otter to the east of us. Cute as a button, he was just having a great time playing in the shallows. Totally unconcerned about us. Frank moved over to take his picture which went well. As we left to go back on our walk the seagulls came back with the ducks and I’m sure Oscar was happy to see us go so he could get some lunch. The otter disappeared not to be seen for the rest of our sitting time. It was glorious!! The Best.

Thanks to Sally & Jan (and Ace) for bringing me back to a place I love and would be too sad to leave behind. It’s restful to hear the rushing water again, and to think about all the beautiful times I’ve had here in your company.
