First B and B Experience: Stunning Retreat and Warm Company

Dear Sally
Thank you so much for being our first B ’n’ B experience. Your stunning retreat & warm company is just what we needed to let our daily stresses roll easily off our back! The fall colours were beautiful & we didn’t even notice the rain.
Sally you are a gentle soul and Ace has stolen our hearts! You have an absolute gem out here and I know we will be back to enjoy it again.
Thank you again for an absolutely fabulous weekend!

The “Falling Water” of the North! We’ve enjoyed our stay so much. Your care for all guests is wonderful. The food, the well appointed rooms, and the total ambiance of Sunny Rock make it a gem. It was the right place for Lois & Ross’s 50th anniversary. Thanks for being such fine hosts Sally & Jan.

We had a wonderful weekend at Sunny Rock. This is my kind of roughing it. I have been looking after a dear friend who has cancer and haven’t been away overnight since last October. What a lovely retreat I’ve had. Thank you all for making us feel so at home in your beautiful B and B. Here’s to a full house and many more new memories. Thank you!!

showed us how to swim in a stiff current, relax (sort of) in a natural whirlpool

My granddaughter Abbey and I have had a wonderful time here at Sunny Rock and exploring Haliburton. The Geocache experience started us off on a program of observation, adventure and learning. Our expert teacher, Sally, gave us tips on things to see and do and showed us how to swim in a stiff current, relax (sort of) in a natural whirlpool, operate a player piano and identify the constellations in the incredible night sky. Our primary destination, Haliburton Forest, did not disappoint. The Wolf Centre was enjoyable & informative and the “Walk in the Clouds” was challenging and exhilarating. The food and hospitality here are second to none. Thanks Sally.

Dear Sally, Jan & Ace (Diane & Ella too!)
Your hospitality knows no bounds! This is certainly a location we hope to visit again. Nothing could be more picturesque! All meals were superb, always with those important little extra touches.
We had a marvelous weekend, even Eleanor’s flat tire didn’t spoil the experience. Thank you so much for your kindness.

Thank you so much for sharing Dysart with the “3 Sisters”. We’ve had a wonderful visit! We will return! Too much fun!
Sally, your hospitality, great meals & quiet teaching was greatly appreciated. We have seen more of Minden & Haliburton in 2 days than I’ve been able to see in 30 years. Great Treasures! It’s hard to decide what’s more valuable – the new destinations or the new knowledge in how to get there & enjoy them with others! Fabulous Retreat. See you again!

Your ability to read each of us & know what we wanted to do for our weekend was awesome!!

Sally & Ace
Thank-you for making our “sister’s weekend” so wonderful. Your ability to read each of us & know what we wanted to do for our weekend was awesome!! You sent us to so many amazing places to garage sale, to antiquing, to taking in the sights & sounds. Your breakfasts are amazing. Very much the “homecooked” meal & the atmosphere of being at home that we were looking for.
You will see me again, whether with my sisters, or with my husband for our anniversary. This was a truly amazing getaway. One to be remembered and shared with my friends & family.
