This is day one of our honeymoon! We got married at the Domain of Killien in Haliburton with 43 of our closest family and friends. This B & B is an absolute dream! Sally has been wonderful to us, oh and Ace too! Our room and view is perfect and we will definitely visit again.

The “Falling Water” of the North! We’ve enjoyed our stay so much. Your care for all guests is wonderful. The food, the well appointed rooms, and the total ambiance of Sunny Rock make it a gem. It was the right place for Lois & Ross’s 50th anniversary. Thanks for being such fine hosts Sally & Jan.

stay at Sunny Rock while attending the Arts School.

This week has certainly been rejuvenating as I had the opportunity to stay at Sunny Rock while attending the Arts School. The experience of staying her has heightened my sense of need for balance and taking the time to appreciate the wonders around us.
This week was eventful thanks to Sally’s hospitality and surroundings re: swimming above the dam, at the rapids and beach, the sing-a-long at the player piano, capturing the bat, scaring away the bear, observing the meteor shower, listening to the rapids and observing the reflections in the water.
Sunny Rock is the best B & B experience I have had. Food was fantastic, treats plentiful, happy hour and conversations passed the time away quickly. An experience I look forward to sharing with friends and will definitely return with my husband. A piece of paradise in a beautiful part of Canada.
I look forward to a week next summer at the Arts School to further expand my “right brain/creativity”.

We had a wonderful weekend at Sunny Rock. This is my kind of roughing it. I have been looking after a dear friend who has cancer and haven’t been away overnight since last October. What a lovely retreat I’ve had. Thank you all for making us feel so at home in your beautiful B and B. Here’s to a full house and many more new memories. Thank you!!

showed us how to swim in a stiff current, relax (sort of) in a natural whirlpool

My granddaughter Abbey and I have had a wonderful time here at Sunny Rock and exploring Haliburton. The Geocache experience started us off on a program of observation, adventure and learning. Our expert teacher, Sally, gave us tips on things to see and do and showed us how to swim in a stiff current, relax (sort of) in a natural whirlpool, operate a player piano and identify the constellations in the incredible night sky. Our primary destination, Haliburton Forest, did not disappoint. The Wolf Centre was enjoyable & informative and the “Walk in the Clouds” was challenging and exhilarating. The food and hospitality here are second to none. Thanks Sally.

So Much Richer For The Experience!

Dear Sally & Jan
Amazing how fourty-eight hours ago, we knew nothing about Sunny Rock, had never met either of you, and now, as we head home, we are both so much richer for the experience. We have enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The attention, the food, the history lesson, the insight, the conversations and the beauty of the scenery, no matter where we looked (including the roll top!) – we will never forget any of it. Sally, the photograph was icing on the cake!
Thank you both. The wisdom of your words will stay with us.

Sincerely, Lou – Rue
